I think some of these issues are very relevant to current events and some of these issues were kinda relevant to an actual recognized prophet baba vanga, i wonder if this graphic novel was inspired or influenced by this actual real person. In regards to the graphic novel I found it very well scripted and beautifully drawn. I found the story kinda scary and cool, like good and evil. I recommend it I am so intrigued by whats going to happen. RECOMMENDED.
This comic book has high production values and beautiful artwork. So far in the series, it focuses on a very intriguing, vulnerable protagonist caught up in a spiritual battle that he can barely understand. I can see this story developing in some really exciting directions in later chapters.
I won this comic book from Goodreads.The graphics are great.The message is powerful and it pertains very much to today's world.Great for preteens and teenagers!
~Disclaimer: I received this book for free ~I really wanted to like this. And I did for a moment.The art itself is distinctive and has its own style. While I think the artist needs to improve on their skills I think keeping the style will help them brand themselves. However, as it stands the characters weren't consistently drawn and that got a tad distracting.The dialogue between the characters was unrealistic. People don't talk like that. Certainly not to strangers.The characters overall were flat. They were assigned a few character traits and that was all. All of the characters within are virtually static. And many characters were introduced in a burst and were not fleshed out.There was a very religious slant to the book (shocker I know....). However, it was much more conservative than I can really overlook. The messaging that the government is going to take away the guns of USA citizens was just too extreme. This is the message put out, but that isn't ever the intent of gun control groups. Having background checks, not selling armor piercing rounds and whatnot are elements of gun control activists that are commonly accepted.There was a lot of judgement being cast on the characters in the story were a bit extreme. It just ended up being having too many preachy moments to really get into the story.
A powerful and unexpected story, with excellent illustrations, that really makes you think about things in a new way. I did not expect a graphic novel like this to be so deep.
Highly recommend, an interesting take on the state of our world.
Something to read and discuss over. The concept is beautiful and the excecution is mind bending.
