A family member recommended this series for my 13 year old son who is a reluctant reader. He will always read whatever required reading he gets from school during the summer and year, but I want him to feel how wonderful it is to read just for the love of reading. I decided to read the series first (as I'm a fast reader) and my son has started the first book. I found the first three books action packed and exciting. James Patterson does a great job transitioning from adult books to young adults. The idea is very unique and this series has kids thinking about the bigger picture of environmental issues (may be more poignant in books after these three so this may be somewhat of a SPOILER ALERT but only in a vague sense) which will effect their generation and their kids generations and so forth. One of the underlining points in the series is that the main people and businesses (ranging from oil, beef, cigarettes and many others) that are doing harm to our environment for profit (despite knowing the huge, negative, long term effects on our environment) are not thinking of the generations after their own. If the readers are inspired to reduce, reuse and recycle by this series, then the positive impact would be tremendous! Even more can be done but the fact that this exciting, action packed fictional series sheds light on a very relevant issue is genius.
I love this series, I read the first 4 books in the series back when they first came out. (This boxset only has 3 books). & I loved them. When I saw the movie come out I decided to reread the series & I still love it just as much as I did then....the difference is that this time there are 5 more books in the series that I'm gonna want to pick up. 😎ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ˜‰âœŒðŸ»ï¸
Ordered these for my preteen son. He was very interested in the series and they added towards his accelerated reading goal in school. As usual James Patterson does not disappoint. He loved the books and read them in record time.
James Patterson... at a good price, in a timely manner. I read the first book a long time ago. My experience with the first book is that it was so good, it was memorable enough that I want my son to read it as well. So I bought him this set. If the other books in the series are on that level, they will be memorable too.

Great book for your interest because it is about a fabulous adventure for people who like adventures and like action to and that story is about 6hybrids (half bird half human)and are trying to stay away from the school (research lab) they don't want to become experiments again after they escaped.recommended for age 10 and up
My 12 year old son LOVES the series...is reading them slowly as he doesn't want it to end...
Couldn't stop reading! The writing was, of course, juvenile, as it was asked at a young crowd. But holy eff, was it ever intoxicating! I need more! The characters are loveable and 3-dimensional (which seems rare in books written for a young audience) and it makes it that much more heart breaking when bad things happen to them. I actually started reading this after I picked up the manga and I have to say I love being able to clearly picture the characters in my head. Friggin' awesome series, seriously. Harry potter looks like he had an easy life compared to the kids in the flock!
