I have a large library of Dover Clip Art books I use for collage. Most of them date back to the mid-1980s (before CD-ROMs were included), so this is actually the first Dover book I've purchased that included the images on a disk. I like it! In the book, the images are arranged in a pleasing way that is more artful than merely displaying each graphic with a white space around them. In this manner, it can inspire you as to how you might want to use some of the images. Each one is discretely identified for easy reference on the disk. As for the CD-ROM, All of the images in the book are included, and organized for easy access. They are in a mix of formats: hi-res JPG, TIFF, EPS, and low-res JPG. The one down-side is that you don't get every image in every format & resolution. I haven't run into a problem due to that yet, but I expect there may come a time when I will have to make my own scan out of the book because the image I want isn't available on the CD-ROM in the resolution I need. There is a list in the back of the book of the 49 images in vector-based EPS format. Why they didn't include such a list for the other formats and images I don't understand. The quality of the graphics is high, but I do wish the selection was more exhaustive. If you're looking for a specific body-part, you'll probably find it here--but only one or two choices.
The trouble with ordering a book like this online is you cannot see all the pictures in it. I needed the clip art to do a book and presentation for massage therapist. I did find the basic most important pictures that I needed and will just have to make do with what I couldn't find. For the price it is the best available anatomy clip art I cold find. Even the expensive Corel did have all the pictures that I needed.
