I have been seriously studying Reiki (Universal Healing Energy) the last few months having read numerous books on this topic and even taking an on line course on this subject. This is the third book I have read by this author (Reiki for Life: The complete guide to Reiki practice for levels 1, 2, &3) and most of the material in this book was covered in Quest’s other two (The Basics of Reiki and Self-Healing with Reiki) previous books.For me this book was a good review text to reinforce my study of Reiki. I have taken the examinations and achieved the Reiki Level 2 and 3 (Reiki Master level) at the present time as I continue to study Reiki more deeply. This 310 page soft cover book covers the following areas in five parts. Part one explains the Reiki healing energy. Part two focuses on activating your healing channel- Reiki first degree. Part three deals with developing your understanding- Reiki second degree. Part four is all about the Reiki Japanese tradition. The final part covers more steps along the Reiki path. This section deals with the many requirements of achieving the third level, which would be a Reiki master level. It also lists a number of other forms of Reiki.In conclusion, this is a good basic text for anyone interested in Reiki healing methods, but one must study the text and not just breeze over the material to benefit from the information.Rating: 4 Stars. I am new to Reiki, having a million and one questions about the healing energy and how to use it. My main focus is helping animals with Reiki, but this book is a wonderful resource, filled with information that helps you understand Reiki, understand the attunements, and gives you lots of information about practicing Reiki. I enjoyed the additional uses information, such as giving Reiki to your plants, trees, appliances, and lots of other things. I plan on trying some of these additional uses along with practicing Reiki on myself and family and friends. If you are looking for a great resource, then get this book! You will not be disappointed.
Cannot get enough of this book. I've read and re-read as the information is so helpful, so insightful. You will not regret buying. I have told all my reiki friends to get a copy cause I'm not loaning mine. It wouldn't come back!
Very comprehensive book!I did level 1 and 2 Reike, but the teachers made it sound like a very hard complicated thing that put me off for a while so I never practiced nor carrried on studying. Just read this book, and it changed my mind about it, easy to understand, explains the difference methods between the west and the Japanese, and really leaving you to decide on how you want to practice! Been practicing and loving it! That’s how important it is to choose the right master!
Great book on the healing art of Reiki. It's got everything - technical physics references, helpful tips and examples, and it's modern.
In my personal opinion this is a great book to read for more inside depth of Reiki I, II and III. Especially if you want to learn more about Reiki. I am now a certified Holy Fire Usui Reiki Master/Teacher in Rhode Island at "Inner Love and Light" in Warwick, so I know a lot more than the book offers, but the book helped greatly in the beginning and I am glad for it.
For anyone interested in Reiki or who is a current attuned to Reiki this is a great book! Lots of wonderful info to continue your learning especially after just taking a Reiki I course.
Highly recommend this guide when studying Reiki!
